UPDATED: RVHS Graduation Class of 2020

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (RVO) – The Redbank Valley School District has published updated information regarding the High School Class of 2020 Graduation. High School Principal Mrs. Amy Rupp sent the following press release to

At this time, it looks like we will have a beautiful day on June 2nd, and the administration, faculty, and  community members involved in the planning have met to begin to finalize plans. In response to concerns regarding graduation, we would like to clarify some things:

There are many moving parts to this process. The process and plans that are in place will remain as outlined in the graduation plan that was distributed last week.  Although Clarion county will be in a state of green, mass gatherings are not permitted. We must remain within CDC guidelines when we plan events such as this. Many organizations and people are working together to ensure a special night for the seniors.

There are some concerns and questions as to why we cannot hold this at the high school. Governor Wolf has closed all of the schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. The end of the school year is June 30th. We are not able to hold any events on school property while the school is closed.

We are working very hard to make this a special as possible for the graduates. We appreciate your understanding and the appreciation of the planning and work that has gone into this.  It was great to see most of the seniors for cap and gown pick up. They were assured that this will be a special event, and we know that it will.  There are many emotions surrounding graduation, we are putting our best effort towards recognizing the seniors for their hard work.

At this time, the current plan for graduation remains in place.  If for any reason the plan changes, notification will be made.  Thank you for supporting our schools, our administration, and our community members.  If further clarification is needed, please email Mrs. Rupp at [email protected].
