🥜🔑 HONORING A PEANUT BUTTER FESTIVAL PIONEER! 🎉❤️
What a special moment during the 30th Anniversary New Bethlehem Peanut Butter Festival! Following Saturday’s parade, Grand Marshal Julia Sabin was presented with the Key to the City of New Bethlehem in recognition of her important role in our festival’s history. 🎉🔑
Julia, who now lives in Florida, was Plant Manager of the New Bethlehem J.M. Smucker Co. peanut butter factory when the festival began its 30-year run in 1996. She was joined for the presentation by Chamber President Gennie Gerow, Smucker HR Manager and Chamber Director Michael McSparrin, retired Smucker employee and festival co-founder Wendy Wyant, New Bethlehem Mayor and Chamber Director the Honorable Rev. Dr. Gordon Barrows, and Chamber Director John Gerow. ❤️🥜
The celebration was part of this year’s three-day festival, hosted by the Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce at Gumtown Park, continuing a tradition that has brought our community together for three decades.
