NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. by: John Gerow (RVO) – The Redbank Valley School Board voted unanimously to hire Dr. John R. Mastillo as Superintendent of the Redbank Valley School District.

Dr. Mastillo served as Superintendent of the Black Lick Valley School District from 2010 – 2017. He previously held several positions with school systems in Texas. Dr. Mastillo earned his Undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh – Johnstown and his MS and Ed.D from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.

The Acting Superintendent Dan Hawkins said that he anticipated Dr. Mastillo’s first day would be Wednesday, October, 10.
