I'm asking as the president of Borough Council for anyone that is able-bodied to please check on your neighbor especially if they're elderly make sure that they're Heating units if they are outside is cleared of all snow so they don't break down and if you live near a fire hydrant to please make sure it is uncovered at least a 3 ft radius just in case of an emergency we at the fire department and the Borough would greatly appreciate any and all assistance in these things and this time of need we all should band together and watch out for each other.” -Scott Barrett, President, New Bethlehem Borough Council

Governor Josh Shapiro has declared a State of Emergency as a powerful winter storm moves across Pennsylvania. PEMA says this could be the largest storm in 16 years, making preparation critical for everyone.
🛣️ Road Safety & Travel
• Tier 4 vehicle restrictions begin Sunday at 12:01 AM
• Commercial vehicles, school buses, RVs, and trailers are prohibited
• Speed limits reduced to 45 MPH on affected roads
• Avoid unnecessary travel, dangerous roads put first responders at risk

• Check real time conditions at 511PA.com or the 511PA app
🏠 Prepare Your Home
• Stock water, food, and medications
• Charge phones and power banks
• Have flashlights, batteries, warm clothing, and blankets ready
🚒 Help Your Neighbors & First Responders

• Stay off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary
