RV High School FBLA Club visits local businesses 2023
NEW BETHLEHEM (RVO) – TechReady Professionals, a local technology company known for its innovation and expertise, had the privilege of hosting a visit from the Redbank Valley High School Future Business Leaders (FBLA) this past week. This highly anticipated event provided an exceptional opportunity for the FBLA students to receive invaluable career advice and insights from the TechReady team. The visit featured engaging discussions on community engagement, career development, and college advice, leaving a lasting impact on the aspiring future business leaders.
TechReady Professionals believes in the power of education and investing in the next generation of business leaders. Our team, including distinguished professionals Rev. Dr. Gordon Barrows and Matthew Green, delivered engaging presentations, and facilitated interactive workshops, providing the students with practical advice and inspiration. “Welcoming the Redbank Valley FBLA members to our office was a true honor,” Green shared. “We were thrilled to share our expertise and insights on topics such as community engagement, career development, and college guidance,” added Barrows.
Rev. Dr. Gordon Barrows, CEO of TechReady Professionals and Mayor of New Bethlehem, shared insights on the importance of community engagement and its impact on personal and professional growth. His presentation resonated deeply with the students, emphasizing the significance of giving back and being actively involved in their communities.
Barrows shared, “Community engagement is not just about giving back; it’s about investing in our own growth and development. By actively participating in our communities, we cultivate meaningful relationships and gain valuable experiences that shape our personal and professional lives.”
Matthew Green, a 2021 graduate of Redbank Valley High School and Technical Consultant for TechReady, provided advice for life after high school. He shared valuable advice on choosing a career, personal finance, and making informed decisions when pursuing higher education.
Green shared, “In today’s fast-paced world, adaptability and continuous learning are crucial. Embrace change, stay curious, and never stop seeking knowledge. It is through embracing new opportunities and expanding our skill sets that we can thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of technology and business.”
We would like to extend a special acknowledgement to Gennie Gerow, President of the Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce, for also presenting to the students. Mrs. Gerow provided essential information about how students can actively engage and get involved in the Chamber, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of community collaboration and business organizations.
“The visit was not only a chance for the Redbank Valley FBLA members to gain insights but also an opportunity for us at TechReady Professionals to give back and invest in the future of the community,” Barrows shared.
“Engaging with these talented students was inspiring, and their enthusiasm and curiosity left a lasting impression on our team. We are confident that their dedication and passion will contribute to their future success in the business world,” shared Green.
TechReady Professionals would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Redbank Valley High School Future Business Leaders and their advisor for choosing Canyon Coffee, TechReady Professionals, and Joe’s Pizza as the destinations for their visit. It was a privilege to host such a motivated and talented group of students. We commend the FBLA for their commitment to equipping students with the necessary skills for success and for fostering a culture of growth and learning.
