NEW BETHLEHEM PA (RVO) – There’s a new Bakery in New Bethlehem PA that officially opened for business today. ‘The Bakery on Broad Street,’ is a small start-up bake shop located at 242 Broad Street specializing in custom event cakes for special events including weddings, social gatherings, etc.

Owner Renee Rapp-Minsterman told RedbankValley.org that she’s happy to offer her Bakery’s tasty treats to the New Bethlehem area and Redbank Valley community. Renee is no stranger to supporting her local community as she’s also the owner of Valley Flowers and Gifts in New Bethlehem (located next to the Bakery) as well as she operates Wildflowers Floral & Gift Shoppe in Rimersburg PA.

People from the community poured into the Bake Shop throughout the day, excited to sample an assortment of sweets including Donuts, Cakes, Cookies, Coffee and so much more! The Bakery hopes to expand their offerings in the future with feedback from the local community.

Members from New Bethlehem Borough Council and the Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce also stopped by to congratulate Renee and her staff on the opening of the new Bakery. “Renee is a community role model and entrepreneurial businesswoman who supports the New Bethlehem area and Redbank Valley community. We need more young business-minded people like her and wish her and her staff much success in their business endeavors!” said Borough Council Member & Chamber Board of Director Gordon Barrows.

Currently the Bakery’s hours of operation include Thursday and Friday from 6am to 5pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. Renee hopes to expand hours of operation as the Bakery becomes more established.
