Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce awards Business-of-the-Year, Citizen-of-the-Year & Good Neighbor 2019

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (RVO) – The Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new year with a special awards dinner to honor its members and recognize the Business-of-the-Year, Citizen-of-the-Year and Good Neighbor award recipients. The evening included dinner catered by Zack’s Restaurant, and a Chinese Auction and Silent Auction where a portion of the proceeds from the auctions supported the Chamber’s Independence Day Fireworks Display and the Downtown Planter Project.

CITIZEN of the YEAR AWARD: Rhonda McMillen-Toth
The award is designed to honor an individual for their community involvement as a volunteer, employer or employee in the Redbank Valley area during the previous year or years. Nominees were judged on their individual contributions to the quality of life and growth of the Redbank Valley either as to recent accomplishments or service to the community. The award is open to anyone who lives or works in the Redbank Valley area.

BUSINESS of the YEAR AWARD: Joe’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant
Those nominated for the Business of the Year award should be in good standing with the chamber for at least one year, and show community involvement such as time donated for community projects. Sponsorships and contributions of financial resources or facilities, labor and equipment will also be considered. Nominees were judged on their business’ individual contributions to the quality of life and growth of the Redbank Valley either as to recent accomplishments or for many years of service to the community.

MEETINGS:
Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 noon, at the Redbank Valley Public Library on Broad Street. Folks may contact the Chamber’s office to be placed on the meeting agenda.
