Redbank Chamber Award Recipients 2018
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (RVO) – The Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new year with a special awards dinner to honor their members. Citizen of the Year, Business of Year, Lifetime Achievement and Good Neighbor Awards were presented. The evening included dinner catered byΒ Zack’s, music entertainment byΒ Jake Shumaker, and a special auction for the New Bethlehem Planters!
CITIZEN of the YEAR AWARD: Edward Goth
The award is designed to honor an individual for their community involvement as a volunteer, employer or employee in the Redbank Valley area during the previous year or years. Nominees will be judged on their individual contributions to the quality of life and growth of the Redbank Valley either as to recent accomplishments or service to the community. The award is open to anyone who lives or works in the Redbank Valley area.
BUSINESS of the YEAR AWARD: Char-Val Candies
Those nominated for the Business of the Year award should be in good standing with the chamber for at least one year, and show community involvement such as time donated for community projects. Sponsorships and contributions of financial resources or facilities, labor and equipment will also be considered. Nominees will be judged on their businessβ individual contributions to the quality of life and growth of the Redbank Valley either as to recent accomplishments or for many years of service to the community.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: Rev. John Phillips
This highly distinguished award recognizes an individual for a ‘decadesΒ of community involvement‘ as a volunteer, employer or employee in the Redbank Valley area. Nominees will be judged on their individual contributions to the quality of life and growth of the Redbank Valley either as to their many years of accomplishments and service to the community. The award is open to anyone who lives or works in the Redbank Valley area.
GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARD: Mary Benton
This award is designed to honor an individual or organization for their ‘kind and courteous efforts‘ as a ‘Good Samaritan,’ volunteer, employer or employee in the Redbank Valley area during the previous year or years. Nominees will be judged on their individual contributions to the quality of life and growth of the Redbank Valley either as to recent accomplishments or service to the community. The award is open to any individual or organization who lives or works in the Redbank Valley area.
PRESIDENT RECOGNITION: Gordon Barrows
The Presidents Award is designed to recognize the Board Chairperson for their leadership and service to the Chamber and to the Redbank Valley area during the previous year.Β This honorary recognition is presented by the past President to the current President as a token of appreciation from the Board of Directors.
