Chief Malnofsky spoke about his vision to see the Police Department and all the local Fire Companies collaboratively use shared resources as well as work together to improve communications and keep our communities safe. Chief Malnosfsky also spoke about his plans to develop a K9 unit for both the Police and Fire Departments to use. The dog could be cross-trained to be an asset for both Police and Fire Company duties.

Police Chief Malnosfsky told the Fire Company how he served as a volunteer fireman as well as an EMT for many years throughout his career, but eventually pursued his dreams of law enforcement. These past experiences allowed Chief Malnosfsky to relate to the fire company members right away as they shared the commonality of volunteer fire efforts. From traffic control to structure fires, Chief Malnosfsky also mentioned that in his previous communities, Police and Fire Company members cross-trained with one another to help each better during emergencies.
