Your Guide to the Spookiest Halloween (2021)

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. by: Cecelia Harmon (RVO) – Fall is here again, and Halloween is just around the corner. Our team here at RedbankValley.Org believes that the scariest thing that could happen to you this season would be missing a spooky scary event! And so, we have compiled a list of all things creepy taking place in the Redbank Valley area this year for everyone (witch, werewolf, or monster) to enjoy!

Halloween 2021 – New Bethlehem PA – Redbank Valley

Trick-or-Treat Night

Location: New Bethlehem and South Bethlehem Borough
Date: October 30th
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Cost: FREE

Everyone is welcome to trick-or-treat in both the NB and SB boroughs on all hallow’s eve. New Bethlehem Fire Company will be hard at work ensuring the safety of all the trick-or-treaters (especially from one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eaters). Make sure to stop by the Redbank Valley Chamber of Commerce table to get an extra scary treat! Remember to bring your costume and a bucket to keep candy!

Hawthorn Fire Company Halloween Costume Sale

Are you afraid that your young witch or vampire will not find anything to wear to this year’s monster mash? Look no further! The Hawthorn Fire Company promises boo-tiful costumes for all of your trick-or-treating needs.

Ghoul’s Day

Location: Redbank Valley Community Center
Date: October 30th
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

With all of the spooky, scary events happening, everyone just needs a Ghoul’s Day Out! Hop on your broomstick and fly to the community center where there will be vendors to explore. Children are invited to wear their costumes and sneak in some early trick-or-treating. Vendors are still welcome to set up; contact the Redbank Valley Community Center 814-457-5033 for more details.

Barn Wood Pumpkin Painting

The perfect decor for every haunted home this season is a great pumpkin, especially one that you painted yourself! Please contact the Redbank Valley Public Library for more details and instructions on how to get signed up!

Fall Craft Show

Location: Redbank Valley Municipal Park, Skating Rink

Come down to the park for a not-so-spooky crafter and vendor show! There is something creep-tastic for everyone – including every witch, monster, werewolf, and vampire! Concessions will be available.

Trunk-or-Treat

Location: Eagle’s Park, Clarion
Date: October 20th
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Cost: FREE

Halloween cannot seem to come soon enough! Local children are invited to begin the festivities a few days early this year with a spook-tacular Trunk-Or-Treat. This event is sponsored by the Clarion Drug Free Coalition and the Clarion County Coalition for Suicide Prevention. It’s going to be a graveyard smash!

Haunted Barn’s Haunt Nights
*All Welcome, may be frightening for younger children
Location: 1801 Old State Rd., Brookville
Date: October 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th, & 30th
Time: 7 – 10 p.m.
Cost: $5/person, children under 5 are FREE

Are you looking to find out what lurks in the dark? Brave souls are invited to a walk-through haunted house experience. Come prepared to have shivers down your spine! This event is sponsored by Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department. For any questions, please call 814-648-0777. They hope to scare you there!

Fall Book & Bake Sale

Location: Redbank Valley Public Library
Date: October 11th – 14th

Stephen King? Mary Shelley? R.L. Stine? Be sure to creep on down to RV Public Library to look for your next scary story to tell in the dark. Monstrously delicious treats and gently used books of all genres will be available to purchase. Proceeds benefit the library.

Pumpkin Chunkin’

If you ever wondered what would happen if you launched a pumpkin into the sky, then look no further! Redbank Valley Municipal Park is hosting a Pumpkin Chunkin’ where everyone is welcome to come and watch pumpkins fly through the crisp autumn sky.

Redbank Valley Elementary PTO Fall Festival

Craft, Games, and Hayrides – oh my! Redbank Valley Elementary PTO is hosting a fall festival for all elementary aged boys and ghouls. Scary delicious treats will be available to purchase at the food booth. There will also be a chance to browse through your favorite frightening tales at the Scholastic Book Fair. At dark there will be an outdoor showing of Spooky Buddies!

WRC Edgewood Heights Trunk-or-Treat

Location: 612 Keck Avenue, tentatively could be moved to Penn St.

There is no shortage of chances for your favorite grim, grinning, ghost to get candy this year! Edgewood Heights will be having a fang-tastic trunk-or-treat this year – it sounds hard to Reese-ist!
