MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST RECAP 4/3/25

VIDEO: Pastor John Phillips brought a powerful and timely message this morning:
“Finish Well” – Philippians 4
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4 ✝️

We were reminded of the importance of unity, gratitude, and godly focus as we seek to finish well in life and in faith.

Key Takeaways:
• Paul urges the church to be of one mind 🤝
• Rejoice in the Lord always 🎉
• Be anxious for nothing – instead, pray with thanksgiving 🙏
• Think on what is true, noble, just, pure, lovely 🕊️
• Let your gentleness and compassion reflect God ❤️
• Start with joy, start with God ☀️
• God is available all the time ⏰
• Our worship & devotion will guide us 🛐
• Are we listening to the world—or to the Word? 📖
• Be careful not to let criticism distract from your devotion
• “The God of peace be with you” ✌️

Challenging Questions:
• Do we complain more than we give thanks? 🤔
• Are we truly thankful for our blessings?
• Are we people of integrity and peace? ⚖️

Join us next Thursday!
The New Bethlehem Area Men’s Prayer Breakfast meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month (and every Thursday during Lent) for food 🍳, fellowship 🤗, prayer 🙌, and a message from a local pastor, missionary, or ministry leader. All men are welcome. Come grow with us! 🌱

🌟 What a Powerful Message on Faith! 🌟

PHOTOS: A huge thank you to Pastor Curtis Twigg for delivering an inspiring message at today’s Redbank Valley Church Association Lenten Worship Service at New Bethlehem First Baptist Church! 🙌 His sermon, based on Matthew 26:53, reminded us of the unwavering faith of Jesus, even in the face of betrayal and suffering.

We also want to extend our gratitude to Pastor Randy Hopper for emceeing the service and leading us in a wonderful time of worship and reflection. 🎶🙏

📸 Special thanks to Liz Harmon of TechReady Professionals & RedbankValley.org for capturing today’s service in photos!

🔥 Key Takeaways from Today’s Message:

📖 Jesus Demonstrated Faith – Even when betrayed by Judas and arrested, Jesus remained steadfast in His trust in God’s plan. Instead of resisting, He submitted, knowing His suffering had a divine purpose.

🗡️ Peter Didn’t Know God’s Plan – In an emotional reaction, Peter struck the servant of the high priest, but Jesus rebuked him. This was a powerful reminder that faith means trusting God, even when we don’t fully understand His plan.

🙏 Faith Without Action is Dead – Just as sitting in a chair requires action to truly trust it will hold us, faith requires action. We must live out our faith, not just talk about it.

💡 What Spills Out of Your Cup? – Life will “bump” us with trials and challenges. What spills out—faith or fear? When we invest in God, His love and blessings will overflow in our lives and impact those around us.

💖 Move Forward in Trusting Him! – No matter what comes, we must keep our eyes on Jesus and trust in His perfect plan. #FaithOverFear
