🌿✝️ Thankful for Today’s Lenten Service! ✝️🌿

Grateful for everyone who joined us at Oakland Church of God as Rev. John Phillips shared “Jesus, the Perfect Sacrifice” from Mark 15:22-39.

Three Takeaways:
• Jesus willingly gave His life for our redemption.
• The cross reveals our sin and the greatness of God’s love.
• Because of His sacrifice, we are invited into new life and hope.

Special thanks to Oakland Church of God, Pastor Jimmy Swogger, and Pastor Anthony Adams for your gracious hospitality, and to all the ladies who prepared such a wonderful luncheon. 🍽️❤️

➡️ Next Week: Wednesday, March 4 at 12 PM
📍 Cornerstone Church of God | 🎙 Rev. David Nagle III | 🍽 Lunch to follow

🌿 Slow Down & Walk With Him This Lent 🌿

This First Sunday in Lent, Rev. Dr. Gordon Barrows shared a message titled “Sacred Slowness – Trusting the Father’s Timing,” grounded in Matthew 4:1–4, Psalm 51:10, and Ecclesiastes 3:1. 💜🌿

✨ Three Takeaways:
• Fasting frees us – say no to distractions, yes to God’s Word.
• Prayer renews us – intimacy with God over performance.
• Trust God’s timing – every season has purpose.

💒 Ministry Thank Yous: Grateful appreciation to our worship team, organist Dave Green, pianist Debbie Green, AV tech Matthew Green, and choir director Bill Young for sharing their gifts in worship. Special thanks to the handbell choir! 🎶🎹💻🎤

🌅 Morning Worship – February 21, 2025

Join us this Sunday for a meaningful time of worship as we gather to hear a powerful message titled:

✨ “Sacred Slowness: Trusting the Father’s Timing” ✨

In a world that urges us to rush, achieve, and move faster, God gently invites us to trust Him- fully and patiently. Through Matthew 4:1–4, Psalm 51:10, and Ecclesiastes 3:1, we’ll reflect on how Jesus resisted the pressure to act outside the Father’s will, how David prayed for a renewed heart, and how Scripture reminds us that there is a season for everything under heaven.

What might God be doing in the waiting?
How can slowing down deepen our faith and shape our trust?

Come ready to worship, to listen, and to be reminded that God’s timing is never hurried - and never late.

🙏 Whether you join us in person or online, there is a place for you here. Invite a friend, share this post, and let’s lean into the gift of sacred slowness together.
