NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (RVO) – A Bicycle Shop and 24 hour Bike/Skate Park is currently being planned along the Redbank Valley Trail in the old Keck building next to the New Bethlehem Fire Hall. Offering everything from bicycle sales, repair & rental, to canoe & kayak rental (and much more), ‘Valley Bike Shop’ and ‘The Block’ 24hr Bike/Skate Park has positioned itself to be the Redbank Valley’s hottest new tourist attraction!

Dubbed as ‘A Dream Come True,’ tattoo artist, bike enthusiast and business owner Rhett Atwood, along with Sandra Mateer, President of the Redbank Valley Trails Association and New Bethlehem Borough Council, are working together to see the  ‘Valley Bike Shop’ and ‘The Block 24hr Bike/Skate Park’ develop and prosper.

Atwood explains on his Facebook page for ‘The Block,’ many folks in our community, and not just our youth, lack ‘something to truly tie us all together‘ while growing our community and bringing new faces to our area. He aspires to develop Valley Bike Shop and The Block into ‘more than just your average‘ bicycle shop and skate park.

With his passion for outdoors and recreation, Atwood explains the Redbank Valley is ‘overflowing‘ with natural beautify and historic attractions. Atwood enthusiastically shares his vision  for ‘fix-it stations, ridable features, places to relax’ and a number of other amenities that trail enthusiasts and cyclists have come to expect while taking full advantage of the 50 mile ‘no limits’ trails that connects Clarion, Armstrong, Jefferson county and beyond!

Diving into his personal background, Atwood shares that he has made his career as a tattoo artist and shop owner, but he has always had a love for riding his bike, ever since childhood. He explains how biking uniquely connects you with the world around you and gives you a greater sense of appreciation.

Atwood explains the Valley Bike Shop and 24hr Skate Park’s location is a blessing, conveniently located in the center of town in New Bethlehem PA, right along the Redbank Valley Trail at 415 Arch Street in the old Keck Building next to the New Bethlehem Fire Hall. The new facility will offer concession, bathrooms and even lessons/training for cyclist of any style or level of skill – from beginners to families and everything in between!

‘The Block 24hr Skate/Bike Park’ intends to offer indoor biking all year long with bike rentals, lessons, summer camp and special memberships. ‘Valley Bike Shop’ will be “Opening Soon” and offering service on all styles and sizes bikes as well as Canoe & Kayak rentals.
