We're aware of some minor washouts below mile 8 on the main trail. Volunteers are working to make repairs but the trail remains open and passable if you don't mind riding in the rain. There’s also a washout between Coder and Baxter, as well as in the Heathville area. I’ll try to get photos next dry day I can ride.

There were 2 moderate washouts between miles 38 and 39 BEFORE this last big rainstorm.
It must be monsoon season! Please report any landslides, downed trees or blocked drains with a photo and location if any are found. Thanks for your help.
The high amounts of rain in the area have caused several landslides, one that closed the Butler Freeport trail yesterday and one that closed SR 66 just outside of New Bethlehem on the west side by the Redbank Chevy/former Wills property. Unofficial reports are that Penn Dot is clearing 66 for traffic to pass this afternoon 4/3/24 at 2:45 PM. Red Bank Creek is very high.
We may have trees down and landslides on the trail but none have been reported yet. If you discover any problems, please send a photo if you are able with a description of the location to RVTA at FB or [email protected] so that our volunteers can address the problems.
