Last evening the Station 600 crews were out from 1815 hrs. until 2230 hrs. during the storms that hit our area.

The first call was as the storm was hitting our area was a tree down on wires starting a brush fire on Himes road.

As crews were closing the road a call came in out 66 near the traffic lights for a tree on the road. Crews cleared the tree opening the road for traffic.

The third call was a report of rock slide on Rt 861 near Falls Road. Crews cleared the road and PENNDOT was advised of the situation.

The fourth call came in before we got back to the station for the mud slide moving blocking the northbound lane on 66. Crews stayed on scene directing traffic until PENNDOT could get crews and equipment on scene to close the road and remove the mud.

15 members spent over 4 hrs. taking care of all the weather related incidents in our area.
